Medical Massage Therapy

Medical Massage Therapy is an outcome-based treatment which focuses on a medical need.  It is used to manage pain, reduce inflammation, and relieve nerve compression.  It also helps increase flexibility, improve circulation and digestion, and in treating other health care concerns.  A variety of massage techniques such as Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Stretches, Range of Motion exercises are used to achieve muscle health and recovery.  After completion of an intake form and initial interview, your therapist will provide a targeted plan for treatment as well as recommendations for a series of visits.  Some medical issues that can be addressed include, but are not limited to, frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, rotator cuff injuries, labrum tears, sports injuries, post-operative pain, whiplash, migraines, carpal tunnel syndrome, piriformis syndrome, sciatica, meniscus tears, hernias etc.  Mamassage is listed in the CAQH as an insurance provider and accepts medical referrals from your physician upon pre-authorization from the insurance carrier.
