Service Planning & Spa Policies

To ensure that you and our other guests receive a relaxing and enjoyable experience at Mamassage Medical Massage Therapy & Day Spa, please keep the following tips in mind.

When you schedule your appointment with us, you are agreeing to the following policies.

TREATMENT SELECTION

A full menu of treatment offerings is listed on our website.  If you would like assistance in choosing a service, we recommend calling our office directly and speaking to one of our knowledgeable staff members.  A discussion with our reception staff can often help you decide between specific types of treatment offerings depending on whether your goal is relaxation or more therapeutic in nature.

RESERVATIONS

In order to ensure that you obtain your desired appointments, we recommend scheduling your appointment as far in advance as possible to ensure availability.  To reserve an appointment, a credit card is required at the time of booking for all services.  Appointments are required and are subject to availability.  We welcome same day appointments scheduled online and by phone at least 30 minutes prior to appointment time, if a therapist is available.  Appointments can be reserved in person, by phone or online only.  When booking by phone, please notify the spa coordinator of any allergies or sensitivities to aromas or ingredients.

YOUR HEALTH

Please advise us, upon booking your services, of any hair, skin, or health conditions, allergies, injuries, or special circumstances which could affect your services, or any pertinent information that may prove helpful in ensuring that your service is top-quality.  If you are pregnant, please notify our staff how far along you are when booking your treatment.  Our reservationists can offer guidance as to which treatments will be the most beneficial, and those that should be avoided due to physical limitations or sensitivity. We care about your health, and ultimately, your safety.

CONFIRMING APPOINTMENTS

We offer the courtesy of two confirmation emails: one week prior to as well as 24 hours prior to your service.  If for some reason you do not hear from us, we encourage you to contact the spa two days prior to the appointment to assure proper day, time, and services.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING POLICY

Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance of your appointment time. If you know that you will be unable to keep an existing appointment with us, kindly call to cancel as soon as you know.  Failure to do so will result in the full service rate charged to your account.

If you are running late, a phone call is always appreciated. If possible, we will reschedule your appointment for the same day.  If we are not able to reschedule your appointment time, your services will begin as previously scheduled. Your arrival time will determine the length of your treatment time, which will end as scheduled, so the next guest may begin promptly.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Mamassage Medical Massage Therapy & Day Spa’s standard policy is that appointments canceled with less than 24-hours notice incur a cancellation fee. During the winter months, we are willing to make an exception to that rule. If the metro area is under severe winter weather advisory and you believe that it would be unsafe or impossible for you to travel to your appointment, you may reschedule within the 24-hour window at no charge

ARRIVAL TIME/ CHECK IN 

It is always best to be relaxed when arriving for a treatment. We highly recommend you arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your service. Early arrival allows you to check in without rushing and allows for completion of any paperwork.  Our waiting area has water, herbal tea (upon request), and ample reading material. Arriving late will cause you to lose precious moments of your treatments.  Unfortunately we cannot guarantee extensions of scheduled treatment times for any late arrivals, nor can we guarantee that your therapist will be ready for you should you arrive exceptionally early.  Full charges for scheduled time will still apply if you are late.

Allow enough time following your treatment to relax with some water prior to your next appointment or departure.

LATE ARRIVAL

Arriving early will allow you to enjoy every minute of your experience.  However If you do arrive late, please remember that your treatment must end on time so the next guest isn’t delayed.  If a late arrival is unavoidable, please call to notify the spa receptionist when possible.  Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, as we must complete your service by the designated end-time in order to appropriately accommodate the next guest.  All appointments have been designed to allow appropriate time for full enjoyment of each service. Your late arrival may limit our ability to offer the fullest possible experience. We will always accommodate you if possible, however if you arrive late, treatments will be rendered only for the remainder of the scheduled appointment and you will be responsible for payment of the full service. Please remember that our staff works by appointment.

CHILD POLICY

The Mamassage Medical Massage Therapy & Day Spa environment is one of inclusion, relaxation and service.  For the sake of safety and peace, we do not allow small children in the waiting or service areas unattended.  Children under the age of 16 are permitted in the waiting area if they are receiving a service and are accompanied by an adult.  Thank you in advance for respecting the privacy and time of our other guests, as well as your own.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES & CELL PHONES

Mamassage Medical Massage Therapy & Day Spa is an oasis of serenity, relaxation and rejuvenation. To maintain this tranquil environment, we ask that you be respectful of others’ privacy, and kindly ask that you turn your cell phones, pagers and all electronic devices to silent upon arrival and to remember to speak in a soft voice once you enter the waiting area. Please inform your therapist should you need to make a phone call so that you may do so without disturbing other guests. Cell phone use may affect the length of your spa services.

PRICES AND SERVICES

Prices and services are subject to change without notice.. We will do our best to keep our clients up to date on any changes that may occur but encourage all clients to inquire about pricing and available services when booking your appointment.  Weekend/Holiday pricing: $20 additional fee per service (does not include Add Ons).  Credit cards are required to reserve an appointment, however, Checks, Cash, Zelle, Visa, Mastercard or Discover cards are accepted for payment at checkout. There is a service charge of $35 for returned checks. You will also be responsible for all collection, attorney, and court fees if any.  Package Deals are available for purchase and can be arranged in person.  Packages are discounted off the full price of services as other coupons, promo codes, discounts, and specials do not apply.  *First time clients receive a 15% discount off their first service (discount does not apply to Add Ons. Offer may not be combined with any other coupons, discounts, offers, or promotions).

WEEKEND (SATURDAY/SUNDAY) AND SELECT HOLIDAY PRICING

Pricing is $20 higher per service with a minimum service requirement of 50 or 80-minute service per guest.  Does not include Add Ons.  

GRATUITY

Gratuity is not included in the price of service or spa packages; customary tipping is 18-20%, is greatly appreciated but not required.  We strongly recommend leaving a cash tip for your therapist(s) to avoid credit card processing fees being deducted from their credit card tip(s).

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SERVICE / MODESTY CONCERNS

It is never required that you are unclothed in front of anyone at our day spa. Our therapists are professionally trained and will ensure a level of comfort which means they leave the treatment room while you get under the sheet on the massage table, appropriately drape areas of the body that are not a focus of the treatment, and leave the treatment room before you get up from the table.  For massage services, bras are not suggested, as our therapists will not be able to effectively massage the back.  If you are having a treatment for the first time, feel free to ask the receptionist or therapist how you should be dressed for treatment.  We want to make sure that you are comfortable, so please let us know if you have any questions.

PERSONAL PREFERENCES

Whether it is the room temperature, the level of pressure during a massage, or the amount of conversation taking place during your treatment or service; please—communicate your preferences with the therapist so that your time with us is a special experience.

GIFT CARDS / GIFT CERTIFICATES

Mamassage Gift Cards make an ideal gift for year round giving.  Our gift cards allow purchasers to choose the dollar amount or service of their choice.  Cards are redeemable for retail products and Mamassage Medical Massage Therapy & Day Spa services only.  They are not redeemable for cash and are non-refundable.  For your convenience you may purchase gift cards online, (https://www.mamassage.services/gifts/), in person, or by phone.  Gift Cards generally should be used within 1 year of purchase date, but they DO NOT expire.  If a gift certificate is purchased for a specific service or package, we will honor the price for 1 year after the date purchased. After 1 year, the redeemer will be responsible for any difference in price increase.  In the unlikely event that a recipient is not interested in the services selected for them, we will do our best to substitute for services which are of equal or lesser value.  We enforce this policy strictly and adhere to it completely.  We are more than happy to perform a scheduled service to its fullest, but can not guarantee that any other comparable services will be available after the client has arrived and has a change of mind as some services involve advanced planning and preparation of product.  If you plan to use gift cards, they must be presented at time of service to be valid.  Mamassage Medical Massage Therapy & Day Spa is not responsible for lost gift cards

RETURNS

It is our mission to provide you with the highest-quality products with your services. In the event you purchase any of our products for home use and find them to be defective, within reason we will exchange products within 7 days of purchase, provided a receipt is presented. Unfortunately we cannot provide refunds for returned products that have been opened, instead a partial spa credit will be provided.

SERIES OF SERVICES

We are unable to process any returns or reimburse any payment transaction on any spa treatment packages/series that are purchased. We will, however, exchange them for spa credit of equal value.

PROFESSIONALISM

Our trained therapists are here solely to help improve your wellness and relaxation. If a therapist ever feels that a client is behaving inappropriately, they are authorized to stop the treatment immediately and direct you to the front desk. We have the right to refuse services to anyone.

PARKING

There is plenty of metered street parking and some free parking available around our location.  Valet services are also available via local restaurants at differing times of the day.
